Pertunjukan BOI AKIH
CHRIS PITSIOKOS (USA) & OTOMO YOSHIHIDE (JPN) BOI AKIH DUO (NL) .
Wednesday, September 18, 2024 / 20.00 – 22.00 WIB at AULA GUDSKUL, Gudskul Ekosistem, Jl Durian 30A, Jagakarsa South Jakarta.
BOI AKIH’s unique sound emerges from the constant interaction between the musicians and the sources they draw from. This unconventional yet accessible, always surprising and always new yet highly recognizable sound blends acoustic sounds and electronic soundscapes with the versatile and warm voice of Monica Akihary, who sometimes sings in English and sometimes in Haruku, the language of her father’s island home in Maluku. In BOI AIH’s musical projects, their deep and personal musical explorations result in a harmonious blend of seemingly incompatible sounds, rhythms and tones.
