With gratitude and appreciation to all those who have supported us, Gudskul Ekosistem officially launched the Standard Operating Procedure for the Prevention and Handling of Sexual Violence (SOP PPKS). This step demonstrates our concrete commitment to creating a safe space within the Gudskul Ekosistem environment, as well as our awareness that the arts community is also vulnerable to sexual violence, both physical and non-physical.
The development of this SOP has been a lengthy process, beginning with the formation of a small internal team for in-depth research. This process deepened after we participated in the PPKS SOP Development Training with SINDIKASI Jakarta in 2024. Throughout its development, the Gudskul Sexual Violence Prevention and Handling Team (TPPKS) received intensive support from SINDIKASI’s Gender and Social Inclusion Division.
This SOP was also enriched by insights from various network partners. The Collective of Advocates for Gender Justice (KAKG) provided us with basic workshops on gender and gender-based violence. Furthermore, SAFEnet’s assistance in resolving cases that arose during the drafting process (particularly from the perspective of Online Gender-Based Violence) provided important evaluation notes for us to continue refining this mechanism going forward.
Through the launch of this PPKS SOP, we hope to create a safe space not only within Gudskul Ekosistem but also impact the broader arts ecosystem. We recognize that this document is only the first step in a long journey of fostering a sense of safety. Therefore, Gudskul Ekosistem hopes for the support and collaboration of all of you to realize this goal together.
